Our goal at the Detroit Princess is to make your purchasing experience easy, efficient and fair, so you can enjoy your boating experience. The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchasing process for the Detroit Princess. Cancelled and Postponed Events
If an event is cancelled, you will be contacted by the contact information you supplied. You will be offered the opportunity to choose an event of equal or lesser value within one year of your original booking, or you can book a pricier event by paying the difference of your original ticket and your new booking. In the case of an event cancellation by the Detroit Princess, no service charge will be collected.The Detroit Princess Riverboat does not issue exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased.

Refunds & Exchanges
The boat is open to the weather and NO refunds will be given for nonperformance due to weather or as a result of direct orders from the US Coast Guard except at the discretion of the Detroit Princess.
Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and date selection. The Detroit Princess Riverboat does not issue exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets.


All Sales are FINAL!

Currency
All ticket prices for events that occur in the United States are stated in U.S. Dollars. All ticket prices for events that occur in Canada are stated in Canadian Dollars.

Payment Methods
The Detroit Princess Riverboat accepts several methods of payment to accommodate your needs, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. A check is also accepted if received within 5 days of when you book your tickets or your tickets will be invalid. If your event is within 5 days of your booking and you need to pay by check, please call our Detroit Princess office to discuss payment options.

Order Confirmation
If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with the Detroit Princess Riverboat whether or not your order has been placed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. The Detroit Princess will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.

Billing Information Verification
Orders are processed only after a billing address, and other billing information, has been verified. Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for a ticket order that can delay processing and delivery. In these cases, the Detroit Princess customer service will attempt to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase. If the Detroit Princess is unable to reach you after several attempts, the Detroit Princess may cancel your order and may sell your tickets to another customer.

Delivery Options
Your ticket should be printed when it appears on your web browser window, if purchase takes place via the Internet. If you do not have access to a printer, please write down your bar code numbers. All passengers will need at a minimum, their boarding pass numbers or an ID matching the name on the reservation to be allowed on the boat. If your ticket is purchased via phone the information provided at purchase is where your boarding passes will be sent.

Pricing Errors
If the amount you pay for a ticket is obviously or grossly incorrect, regardless of an error in a price posted on this web site or otherwise communicated to you, and regardless of whether a transactional malfunction of this web site or other Detroit Princess operated system, then the Detroit Princess will have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund to you the amount that you paid.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We use your contact information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us or your purchase. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request (ticket purchases, vendors for your event, etc).

Opting out from future communications
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about special deals or events that we might be hosting. You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can remove yourself from our mailing list by clicking the link on any mailing email that we send. This imediately removes yourself from the mailing list. You can join back at any time, if you unsubscribed in error.

Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure method using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates. This technology encrypts your private information so that it cannot be read or used by anyone else. No credit card numbers are stored in our database. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level).
